Its all about the P-leather

Kiki Burleigh is at it again. Kristie has taken her handbags in a new direction for the fall/winter with a line of pleather bags and wallets. These new styles are a bit of a change from the vibrant cloth bags that were so popular, but this new twist keeps the same funky flair that Kiki Burleigh is known for. She still incorporates her unique patterns into the bags, however it is done with huge, oversize buttons and fabulous bag liners. The website will be updated soon .... so stay tuned.

Dog Days

Well, It's summer in Ocean City and the "dog days" are here. Usually resort businesses start to think about inventory and what products to keep and which ones to sell out of. That said, Kiki Burleigh has recieved quite a few new reorders from some of the local stores .... which is good. I think that is due in part to some of her new products that are being released this summer. Kristie has come up with a new wallet sized accessory that has a pleather exterior but still keeps the Kiki Burleigh flair that has been her trademark for some time. These new pleather wallets are a new direction for Kristie, and so far they are getting great feedback.

With these wallets and other new purses, Kiki Burleigh chose to attend the White Marlin Jewelry and Accessory Show a few days ago in Ocean City, and did pretty well. Kristie was able to show off some of the new wallets that have been in the pipeline for a while now. These will be available at most of the retailers that carry Kiki Burleigh this fall and winter. We hope that good things are here and wish Kristie all the best of luck.

Handbags Make You Smile

Things are pretty slow around the ole' Kiki Burleigh Ranch these days. It has been an interesting season so far with most people playing it safe with new orders and the reorders are a little slower than we would like. However, Kristie did manage to pick up 2 new accounts last week. One in Cambridge and the other in Easton ( I think --- I will post more on that when I'm 100% sure ) So that cool news. This is also a time when Kiki Burleigh starts to think about things for the next seasons patterns and designs. Innovation and design never really stop, but there is a little time to reflect and think about the direction you are taking things and now is that time. If anyone is actually reading this, all input is welcome and remember ..... we do it for you America !!!!

OK people, who needs a handbag ??

Well, the show Saturday was not exactly the kind of thing that we can retire on. The weather was fair, and the crowd was good, but people are cautious when it comes to buying. That's the kind of thing that you hope works out, but it's hard to know what to expect when it's the first time you attend a show as a vendor. Hey, even Microsoft started in someones garage, so you got to stay upbeat. On the bright side, Kristie did manage to pick-up a new client and Kiki Burleigh should be selling it's bags in a new store soon, so that's cool.

On a personal note, does anyone really know how hard it is to run a company while being a stay at home Mom with a little girl who is almost 2 and is total fireball? Well, it's tough. Hang in there babe, you're doing great !!!

Good Earth Market Show

The Summer is Coming

Well Kristie has been busy. Most of the stores that carry Kiki Burleigh bags are located in or near resort towns, so the "busy" season is ramping up. That mean that everyone will want to fill their stores and be ready for the tourists. It's time to introduce the new summer bags and prints, update the website, make sales calls, etc, etc.



I knew she could sew, but who knew she had an artistic side? For the first time ever, Kristie has designed her own prints and that's kind of cool. Nobody else in the whole handbag business will be using these designs, because, well, they can't get them. Also, the summer brochure is done so you can check that out. All we need now is the ugly economy to turn around. Kiki Burleigh is doing it's part because like I said ...... summer is coming.
